In 2004, he worked with the gospel singer and pianist, Smokie Norful on his album, Nothing Without You. The album won a Grammy album for the Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album.

In 2007, he launched his first solo EP, Polaroid. To promote the album, he toured in various cities in the country. During this period, he built his own loyal fans and followers.

Two years later, he signed with the Sony/ATV for a performance where he gave his tribute to Will Smith. After that, his song, Change in the Weather was featured in the series, Hawthorne.
